In a few days, on Jan. 20, Barack Obama will deliver is inaugural address as he is sworn in as America’s 44th president.
In what could be defining speech of our time, Obama faces a history of pretty terrible speak-making by most of the former presidents of the U.S.A.
On the other hand, Obama has shown the ability to move large numbers of people both in person as in Chicago on the night of his win or by radio and TV where he has reached out to the citizens of the world.
Not since John Kennedy’s Jan. 20, 1961 inaugural address has the hopes of so many been concentrated on the words of one man with the ability to speak to something deep within us.
Time will decide whether we will be witnesses to history being made in eight days from now.
